The relationship between SGS Technical Staffing Services and JGC Corporation started in Qatar on Dolphin LNG Project, which is developing and processing the gas for export from Qatar's North Field to the UAE and elsewhere around the world.

JGC Corporation, the main EPC for the construction of gas processing plants, requested the assistance of SGS Technical Staffing Services (TSS) to provide personnel for four ongoing projects:

  • Dolphin LNG in Qatar and Bahrain
  • Pearl GTL in Qatar
  • Saudi Arabian Aramco projects at Hawiyah & Rabigh
  • Tannguh Project in Indonesia

JGC’s requirements for qualified technical workforce called upon TSS recruitment specialists to search their broad data bank of CVs with the ultimate goal of finding experts in Construction Management, QA/QC, HSE, Project Controls and Commissioning & Start-up, that would be supplied by SGS Qatar  in order to ensure a fully tax compliant solution.

The JGC Corporation needed specialized support for their operations in Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. SGS Technical Staffing Services recruited the team from the UK, France, Romania, Egypt, India and the Philippines. SGS TSS managed all the payroll services and ensured the effective in-country management of the recruited workforce.

During their ongoing partnership with the JGC Corporation, TSS has proved to be a financially sound and reputable workforce supplier.  

The technical contract experts brought in by TSS to assist JGC Corporation in their crucial projects, executed in excess of 750,000 man-hours, while the total value of the contract was in excess of US$ 10 million.
