SGS Technical Staffing Services (TSS) assist companies in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries in satisfying their professional technical staffing needs, by coordinating the recruitment of either contract or permanent staffing solutions.

The SGS Technical Staffing Services team began their collaboration with Shell in 2003 and since then have ensured that professional technical and engineering personnel have been in place according to requirements, but have also managed related matters such as processing work permits and visas in a timely manner, as well as supervising payroll and tax compliance.

In order to support Shell’s two joint venture companies, Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas in Nigeria and Salym Petroleum Services B.V. Russia, the TSS team accessed their unrivaled database of over 70,000 CVs to find a perfect match to Shell’s specialized employment needs and requirements.

NDT coordinators, inspectors, technicians, and radiographers from the UK and India were brought in by the TSS group, for the purpose of supporting onshore and offshore activities for the NLNG Project in Bonny Island, Nigeria.

In Russia, Shell and TSS collaborated for TSS to provide Cost and Planning Engineers to help coordinate and support the critical development of the Salym oil fields.

Following the SGS Group values of complete independence, transparency and integrity, the TSS team successfully ensured that prompt, effective services were provided to Shell. As a result of the outstanding contribution of the TSS professionals, the partnership was consolidated in 2007 when the TSS team were awarded a contract with Shell E & P in Europe, to provide personnel for the UK, Ireland, Norway and Holland.
